The Year 6 pupils had an absolutely unforgettable adventure on their residential trip to Thurston, throwing themselves into every outdoor challenge with incredible energy and teamwork. The absolute highlight for many was the gill scrambling (climbing up rocky, rushing mountain streams), where they splashed through deep pools and scaled waterfalls together.
Back on dry land, the children conquered their fears on the crags during rock climbing and took on breathtaking heights with a mountaineering trek that rewarded them with spectacular, sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. They also took to the water for some thrilling water sports, learning to navigate the lake while cheering each other on through plenty of splashes and laughter. By the time they packed up to head home, every single pupil had built new friendships, discovered a massive boost in confidence and created memories that will last a lifetime
