At East Boldon Junior School, the intent of the English curriculum is to develop articulate, confident, and creative communicators. At East Boldon Junior School our aim is to be the best Scientists that we can be by challenging pupils to develop a complex knowledge of biology, chemistry and physics but also adopt a broad range of skills in working scientifically and beyond. At East Boldon Junior School, our aim in PE is to create opportunities for our children to take risks and step out of one’s comfort zone, as the only way to fail is to not to try at all. Providing these opportunities will build resilience, ensuring we can develop the skills to deal with challenges and perceived failures. Above all, we want to ensure all our children enjoy Physical Education and Sport. Developing a life-long love of being physically active, experiencing the collaboration of working with others, and showcasing the values of kindness in all that we do, are all values we want to instill in our young sports people.
