Year 6 have further developed their understanding on WWII with a visit to Victoria Tunnel in Newcastle. Constructed to be as used as a waggonway to transport coal from the city centre to the river, the tunnel was a shelter used during WWII for up to 10,000 people. The children got to experience what it would have been like during an air raid and learn more about this period of history. Year 6 also got the opportunity to carry out a workshop at Seven Stories and enjoy some stories.
