Our Year 5s had a fantastic day out at the Jorvik Centre and DIG. At Jorvik, they loved travelling back in time to see what Viking York looked, sounded and even smelled like! The interactive displays and the moving ride helped them imagine daily life in the past. At DIG, the children became archaeologists, carefully searching through excavation pits to uncover real historical objects. They worked brilliantly as a team and left with a deeper understanding of Viking history and how archaeologists make discoveries. There are loads of images on Y5's Class Dojo page.
