Welcome to our Science In Action page! This is where we showcase our pupils’ curiosity, investigations, and discoveries about the world around them. Here, you’ll find photos of our experiments, projects, and enrichment opportunities that bring scientific learning to life. We also share children’s views about Science, capturing their excitement, questions, and reflections as they explore how things work, make predictions, and develop their understanding through hands-on learning and exploration.

Pupil Voice

Y3 Pupil

"Before, science was just words in a book, but now it's like an adventure every day! We did an experiment where we grew plants in different conditions, and it was amazing to see how much they changed. I learned that even tiny things like sunlight and water can make a huge difference. Now, I want to grow my own garden and help the environment. Science isn't just about learning what other people discovered; it's about discovering things yourself. When we built our own circulatory circuit, we learned how blood carries oxygen around the body. Now, I want to be a scientist and find new ways of doing things. Science has shown me that even kids like us can help solve big problems."

Y4 Pupil

"Science is so much fun! We get to do experiments and investigations that make us think and wonder. My favourite part is when we get to ask questions and figure out the answers together. It's like being a real scientist! I love how we get to explore and discover new things, like how plants grow or how magnets work. Science makes me curious and excited to learn more. It's not just about reading books, it's about hands-on adventures that make learning feel like play. I feel like a detective, solving mysteries and uncovering secrets. Science is the best!"

Y5 Pupil

“I used to think scientists were all old men in lab coats, but now I know anyone can be a scientist. My friend Sarah wants to be an astronaut, and I want to invent a robot that cleans my room. Science helps us dream big and gives us the tools to make those dreams come true. It makes you see the world differently, like everything is a puzzle waiting to be solved."

Y6 Pupil

"Science isn't just about textbooks; it's about exploding volcanoes and building circuits that actually work! Before, science was just another subject, but now it's my favourite. We get to ask 'why' and then find out the answers ourselves. It's like magic, but real!"
