Art and Design Overviews

Our KS2 Art and Design curriculum has a significant impact on our pupils’ creativity, confidence, and self-expression. Through a carefully planned and progressive programme of study, children develop key artistic skills such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media, while also learning about influential artists, designers, and cultural art forms. Our curriculum encourages experimentation and individual interpretation, helping pupils to think critically and reflect on their own work and that of others. As a result, children gain not only technical proficiency but also a deeper appreciation of the visual world around them. Art and Design at our school fosters a sense of pride and achievement, enriching the wider curriculum and contributing to the development of well-rounded, imaginative learners.
