Thank you for joining us this morning for our Zoom Assembly. It was great to see so many smiling faces!
This week is Children’s Mental Health Week. We looked at our ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ and discussed how we can meet them during lockdown. Take a look at the slides below for more information.
Mr Shenton set us all a challenge: can we meet all 5 Ways to Wellbeing this week, record them (however you like) and send them in via Class Dojo. We will share some of the plans on Friday in Celebration Assembly.

Thanks once again for joining us in our Celebration Assembly today. The children have been busy and you have sent us great images. It is great to see their faces. Keep the photographs coming and we will celebrate children’s achievements again next week.

Life in a National Lockdown is very challenging but fortunately there are people out there with excellent advice and help. Our friends at Gateshead Psychological Service were very kind to share this resource for adults. There are lots of links to helpful resources within the document.

Thanks for joining us in our Celebration Assembly on Friday. The children have used Google Classroom to access and hand in their work. We have loved seeing their faces in live lessons and it has been great to receive photographs from parents on ClassDojo. Keep them coming and we will celebrate children’s achievements again next week.

The Department for Education (Government) have introduced an offer to increase mobile data allowances for children and young people to allow them to access the internet to complete their remote learning.
This scheme is open to children and young people who:
don’t have access to a fixed broadband connection
cannot afford the additional data needed to access educational resources or social care services
have access to a mobile device that uses a participating network
are facing disruption to their face-to-face education, or have been advised not to attend school
Account holders with monthly contracts need to be over the age of 18.
To request extra mobile data, we will need the following information to forward to the DfE:
the account holder’s name
mobile number (a number beginning with ‘07’)
mobile network
whether you pay monthly or pay as you go
If you are eligible to apply simply complete this form with your account details.
South Tyneside LA will only collate this information in order to send to the DfE and will delete the information by 31st July 2021. The DfE are the data handler. The DfE will then pass on your details to the appropriate service provider.
The mobile network operator will use that information to increase the data available for the account holder’s mobile device, as long as you qualify for the offer. If you do not agree to your data being held by the DfE please do not complete the form.
More information about the DfE Privacy Policy
You will be contacted by the service provider within the time stated to confirm that your data allowance has been updated. Please do not contact the school or the LA with queries on this scheme, get in touch with your provider directly if you have any questions.

A huge congratulations to the following classes who defeated their year group rivals:
💪 3ST who collected an impressive 15,000 coins in total
💪 4LE who collected a brilliant 10,000 coins
💪 5SC who collected a startling 36,000 coins only 100 more than 5JM.
💪 6SW who collected a remarkable 53,000 coins. Of course, being my class, I wouldn’t expect anything else. Tremendous, guys!
Finally a massive well done to the following children who excelled in their year group, putting in a huge amount of effort and dedication:
⭐️Georgia, Sophia, Leo, Vivienne in Year 3
A new battle will commence on Monday so check this out, have a break over the weekend, and let’s go again on Monday. You will face another class from another year group as it is the winners v winners and runners up v runners up. Therefore, they should be extremely close and competitive.
Well done, East Boldon Juniors!
