Throughout October, the children will be walking into assembly with a different black artist’s music playing to celebrate Black History Month. Mrs Hunt, our music lead, has created a poster for each day and these are displayed in the Assembly music poster frame in the main hall. Take a look next time your in our hall.
I hope that you are all well. Thank you so much for the support and enthusiasm for recent events in school such as our Family Picnic and the Macmillan Coffee Mornings. This is such a wonderful community. I have never known a community pull together as well as this one. I am very proud of this school and our families. This week’s newsletter is full of celebration: runners, awards, visits and visitors. We are getting back to a ‘new normal’ and we hope that you are too. Please remember that we are here for parents and pupils alike and if there is anything we can support you with please get in touch.

We had to wait until after the summer due to a class self isolating in July, but what a fantastic afternoon we spent together! We loved celebrating our wonderful school community. The weather was amazing too! Thanks so much for coming to school and celebrating a challenging year together.
Year 6 stepped back in time and experienced life in WWII at Eden Camp. The immersive displays brought history to life, allowing pupils to experience the sights, sounds and smells of life on the Home Front and the Front Line which encompasses a whole host of subjects and themes, from art, religious education and citizenship, to geography, design and science.
We are so excited to see you all tomorrow. Staff have been in school, getting the place looking great during the summer.
Please find below our Frequently Asked Questions crib sheet for you all (if it doesn’t appear below please refresh your page).
I hope this helps.
See you tomorrow,

We have once again been awarded the International School from the British Council. Fantastic! This award recognises our school’s efforts to include international work as part of our curriculum and helping embed it within our school’s culture.
Please find below a letter and further guidance from South Tyneside Council advising parents/carers on what to do if your child tests positive during the holidays and the new term ahead. If the three documents don’t appear below, please refresh the page.
